Overview

The Dudhwa National Park is a national park in the Terai belt of marshy grasslands in northern Uttar Pradesh. It stretches over an area of 490.3 sqkm (189.3 sq mi), with a buffer zone of 190 sqkm (73 sq mi). It is part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in the Kheri and Lakhimpur districts. The park is located on the Indo-Nepali border in the Lakhimpur Kheri District, and has buffers of reserved forest areas on the northern and southern sides. It represents one of the few remaining protected areas of the diverse and productive Terai ecosystem, supporting many endangered species, obligate species of tall wet grasslands and species of restricted distribution

Itinerary

Please note: This Tour begins and ends at Lucknow. 

 

Day 1

Reach Lucknow airport before 12 noon

Road journey to Dudhwa (5 Hours’ drive, lunch enroute)

check-in the hotel and relax

Dinner followed by evening briefing for the tour

 

Day 2 

Early morning jungle safari

Breakfast with discussion over sightings of morning safari

A quick walk in the resort/ hotel or choose to relax

Lunch followed by afternoon – evening safari 

Hi-tea session and discussion over sightings of the day

Dinner followed by informative slideshow on biodiversity of Dudhwa

 

Day 3

Early morning jungle safari

Breakfast with discussion over sightings of mornings

Birdwatching session in the resort

Lunch followed by afternoon – evening safari; followed by shopping session in local market

Hi-tea session and relax 

Dinner followed by ID session, bird count and mammals' count 

 

Day 4

Early morning elephant safari for one hour (With additional charges)

Breakfast followed by a quick shopping session and then check-out from the resort 

Leave Dudhwa at around 09:00 am
