Overview

Rajmachi fort is a strategic fort overlooking borghat/ khandala ghat which was a historical trade route. There are two fort - Shrivardhan and Manaranjan which were built by “Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” during 17th century. Rajmachi can be reached by 2 ways, the tough route from kondivade village near Karjat and the other easy route from Lonavala.

~ Backpack - to carry your belongings (please avoid sling bags)
~ Water bottle (Minimum 2 litres)
~ Torch (compulsory)
~ Cap, Windcheater and trekking shoes advisable. (Please avoid sneakers, canvas shoes having flat soles as there are high chances of slipping)
~ Plastic carry bag (for your gadgets)
~ Extra pair of clothes
~ Camera (optional)
~ Personal medicines, if any

Itinerary


Detailed itinerary:
Day 1:
11:00 pm : Leave from Mumbai via non AC private bus

Day 2:
3:00 am : Reach Lonavla and start night trek
8:00 am : Reach Udhewadi (base village) and breakfast
9:00 am : Trek to Shrivardhan Fort (around 2 hours)
2:00 pm : Lunch
3:30 pm : Return journey via Karjat (around 3 hours)
6:30 pm : Reach Kondivade (base village in Karjat) and have evening snacks
7:00 pm : Start return journey to Mumbai
9.30 pm : Reach Mumbai


Route : Start from Lonavla at 3:00 am
Break around 7:00 am (Freshnup & Breakfast on the way)
Reach Base Village around 8:30am
Trek to Shrivardhan Fort (about 2.5Hours)
Lunch Around Noon
Return Journey via Karjat (about 3 Hours)
Return Journey to Mumbai (from Kondivade) (base Village in Karjat) by 6:30pm followed by Quick Evening Snacks.
