The Dudhwa National Park is a national park in the Terai belt of marshy grasslands in northern Uttar Pradesh. It stretches over an area of 490.3 sqkm (189.3 sq mi), with a buffer zone of 190 sqkm (73 sq mi). It is part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in the Kheri and Lakhimpur districts. The park is located on the Indo-Nepali border in the Lakhimpur Kheri District, and has buffers of reserved forest areas on the northern and southern sides. It represents one of the few remaining protected areas of the diverse and productive Terai ecosystem, supporting many endangered species, obligate species of tall wet grasslands and species of restricted distribution

Kaziranga National Park is a world heritage site (declared in 1985 by UNESCO) and is famous for the Great Indian one horned rhinoceros (hosts two-thirds of world population)  Been declared as a National Park in 1974, Kaziranga is home to the highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. The park is home to a large breeding population of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Kaziranga is recognized as an Important bird area by BirdLife International for conservation of avifaunal species. Located on the edge of the Eastern Himalayas biodiversity hotspot, the park combines high species diversity and visibility.

Ranthambore Wildlife Reserve is known for its tigers and is one of the best places in India to watch animals in their natural habitat. Tigers can be easily spotted even in the Day time. The parks deciduous forests are characteristic examples of the type of jungle found in Central India. Other major animals include leopard, sloth bears, Sambhar deer, Nilgai, striped hyena, Rhesus macaque and Chital. Ranthambhore National Park Ranthambhore wildlife sanctuary is known for its tigers and is one of the best places in India to see these animals in their natural jungle habitat. Tigers can be easily spotted even in the daytime. The best times for tiger sightings at Ranthambhore National Park are in November and May. The park's deciduous forests are characteristic examples of the type of jungle found in Central India. Other major wild animals include leopard, nilgai, wild boar, sambar, striped hyena, sloth bear, southern plains grey langur, rhesus macaque and chital. The sanctuary is home to a wide variety of trees, plants, birds and reptiles, as well as one of the largest banyan trees in India.

Bhigwan – Kumbhargaon Bhigwan is a small town on the border of Pune and Solapur district in Central Maharashtra, India. It is located on the Pune-Solapur Highway around 105 km from Pune on the backwaters of Ujani dam.  Kumbhargaon is situated near to Pune-Solapur Highway with fascinating view of backwaters of Ujani being spread over acres of land making winter migrants assured halt in Maharashtra.

Pench Tiger Reserve nestling in the lower southern reaches of the satpuda hills is named after Pench River, meandering through the park from north to south. It is located on the southern boundary of Madhya Pradesh, bordering Maharashtra, in the districts of Seoni and Chhindwara.Pench National Park, comprising of 758 SQ Kms, out of which a core area of 299 sq km is the national park and and remaining 464 sq km is the buffer area. The Pench National Park, like it did in the iconic 'The Jungle Book', still brings humans in close contact with wildlife. Rudyard Kipling based Mowgli's adventures, and his battle with the furious Sher Khan, on this very place.It is divided by river Pench into nearly two equal parts. This magnificent expanse shelters over 285 resident and migratory birds. Pench National Park, with its majestic tigers and several other animals and birds, will bring back the thrill you used to have, when watching Mowgli battle Sher Khan.  

Hidden in the belly of Rajasthan, Bera is a small town in Pali district with a considerable number of leopards but very few tourists. Bera was hardly known amongst the wildlifers. The entire hill locks where leopards have their habitat, is a revenue land and it has not been declared a wildlife sanctuary. Govt. of Rajasthan is in the process of declaring this area as wildlife sanctuary for giving protection especially to leopards, the most elusive cat in the wild.
